After starting Graph'O->Mat, the first thing you'll have to do is to maximize the window. Graphomat needs at least a 800 x 600 screen resolution for confortable working. Otherwise you can either see the statusbar on the bottom of the window or the menubar on top of the window. The statusbar tells you in which mode you're actually working and what Graph'O->Mat is doing right now. The basic status is for moving vertices around and is automatically set after starting Graph'O->Mat. The rest of the window is still gray, but will hopefully soon be filled with vertices and edges.
